Question: “I have always had my psychic readings in person. Why would I want a phone reading?”
My first phone readings were for practice. I needed to see if they worked. They were awkward with me cradling the receiver into my shoulder and juggling the cards on a too low coffee table. I was resisting but practicality was pushing me towards the phone. Local newspaper advertising is just too expensive. I needed to open myself up to the internet and that meant not just my own city. But I did not like it.
When my first phone client called, it was pretty late in the evening. I never would have accepted a face to face appointment at that hour but being on the phone that late seemed quite natural, so we had our reading. I was in my pyjamas tucked into my favourite arm chair with my cards spread out on a tv table in front of me. She sounded pretty comfortable too. The reading went beautifully. She opened up about her life immediately; the shyness people usually battle seemed nonexistent. My psychic abilities seemed stronger than usual. I thought afterwards it was because she was so open. Since that day, I love phone readings.
Clients feel more safe on the phone and therefore are more honest and open. More honesty and openness opens me up and my intuition increases. Why do we feel more safe on the phone? Phone readings are more anonymous. I only hear a voice. My phone clients are more physically comfortable being at home, not with purse and car keys, but instead with cat and blanket on the couch. Phone readings just seem to me to be very comfortable.
Phone readings allow clients a much wider choice of psychics with proximity not being an issue. We don’t have to stick to just our own city.
And phone readings are very often spur of the moment. Unless I am on my way out the door or have company, I can usually drop what I am doing and get out my cards. Very often it seems that if someone wants a reading, they want it now. When a call comes in, all I have to do is get out my cards, light a candle and settle in. It‘s as simple as that.
Question: “How do I know if a person is really psychic?”
People call me and say, “Tell me something about me that there is no way for you to know.” Before a person wants to pay their hard earned money, they want proof that the person is for real. I understand that.
There are two parts to this answer. The first part is this: you pick a psychic the same way you pick a car mechanic. You ask questions and then let your gut feeling guide you as to whether you trust the person based on the answers you are getting. Our feelings are the greatest gift we have for detecting the truth.
The second part of this answer is a little less concrete. It is a question I had to think hard about before I began this business. Do I really believe in psychic ability and if I do, then what do I do with mine? Here is my story of coming to believe myself.
Years ago I used to do readings for people, sometimes with tarot cards and before I had cards I did palm reading, usually at parties and always for sensationalism. I did not believe I was psychic. I was just playing around. Then fate threw me together with someone whom I knew was a real psychic. Knowing her well as a friend and talking about her abilities took the spook, the fear and the exceptionalness out of it. Because she saw it as “every day” it somehow became safe for me to see that I was psychic as well. Perhaps I had been in denial. She taught me to believe in and respect my own gift. I started watching for signs of its realness and then the miracles started to happen. Infact they had been happening all along and I was too closed off to see them.
I woke up one night knowing I wanted to work as a professional psychic. It felt as if I was being told to do so by something bigger, perhaps one of my miracles. I started studying and practising the tarot and crystal ball. Over and over again I got proof of its realness. Over and over again people whom I had never met before were telling me that my readings were meaningful and held information that I could never have known.
When I was experiencing only private psychic events, the little miracles that we all experience, I didn’t think anything of it. When I purposefully took my skills to others and I got the feedback I needed that I was for real.
Each of us has intuition. I needed to discover mine; you need to discover yours. Our intuition is how each of us picks our car mechanics. We are all psychic. Some of us have exercised that muscle a little more than others. For most people our intuition is greater than we know. There is no magic. A good psychic helps her clients own her or his own power.
So, when you are faced with determining if someone really is psychic, turn the question inward, use your guts to tell you. Trust your own intuition that you can know. You be the psychic!
